Make money from your blogger account

AdSense is a great way to get paid for doing what you love to do: blogging! AdSense allows you to show targeted ads on your blog and earn revenue from your traffic. It also helps your visitors find things they may be interested in, based on the content of your blog posts. Best of all, AdSense is free and you have the option to remove the ads at any time.

The AdSense system shows ads relevant to the content of your blog and you can easily customize the look and feel of the ads to match your blog. If your blog is about fashion, you may show ads for shoe designers or clothing stores. If your blog is about cars, you may see ads for car dealerships or auto shops. Using filters, you can have control over the content of the ads you display by choosing to block categories of ads or even specific advertisers.

With the free suite of powerful AdSense reporting tools, you can pull detailed reports that will help you track your revenue and identify opportunities to earn more money. You can see earnings by day, page, domain or specific ad unit and can also use Google Analytics to see the source of your traffic and earnings.

Adding AdSense to your blog is easy. Just follow these steps:
  1. Log in to Blogger, choose your blog, and go to the "Monetize | Set up AdSense" tab.
  2. Choose where you want to show your ads on your blog and hit "Next."
  3. If you're new to AdSense, follow the easy online steps to sign up for a new AdSense account. If you already use AdSense, you can log in to AdSense and link your Blog to your AdSense account.

If you're using a Classic template, you can add AdSense to your blog by following the steps outlined here.

To learn even more, come take a tour with Google AdSense.

More flexible to check gmails on IPad

 Craig Wilkinson (Software Engineer) Say's

If you've been using the web-based version of Gmail on the iPad, you may have noticed that yesterday you started to have a big, full screen compose window for writing messages. Instead of splitting the screen between your inbox and the compose view, we updated the interface to hide the inbox messages on the side and make more of the text you're working on visible at once.

To try out Gmail on the iPad, just go to gmail.com in Safari. Please note that the new interface is only available in US English for now.

For more info, check out this post on the Mobile blog.

Orkut celebrating World Music Day

It's the longest day of the year, and time to prepare your ears. Not quite sure what I'm talking about? Allow me to explain: in countries all over the world, today is the World Music Day.

Created in France in 1982, the World Music Day (or "Fête de la Musique") was envisioned as a way to encourage the people to pick up their abandoned instruments and start playing music again. The festival has taken place on the summer solstice of each year since then, and has spread to a number of different countries.

Never ones to be the left out of the fun, we created a special doodle to commemorate:

Concerts, shows, musicians jamming in the streets– all of these are core elements of what the Fête de la Musique is all about. While orkut may not be able to fly you to France so that you can join in the fun in person, we can certainly help you create your own personal music day at home:
  • Join a music community and talk with other enthusiasts about your favorite genres, artists and songs
  • Check out the Music iLike app and show off your favorite songs and artists
  • If you play an instrument, join a related community (here are a few popular ones: guitar, piano, violin) to get advice and support from other musicians
  • Use orkut promote to share videos that highlight your musical prowess with the orkut community. Just be sure to thank us when you get famous ;-)
